Back-up
Doula
I
work in conjunction with a number of Doula colleagues who are back up
for me
should that become necessary. Because
I
have been a Doula in this area since 1998 and have many associates, I
draw from
a large group to select the best match for you.
I am happy to have you meet your back up Doula if
you wish, and
you may wish to choose someone you have already met during your
interviewing
process. That said, I usually am able to attend to my clients
personally.
In
the unlikely event that labor support services are not
provided: It is
extremely important
that you contact me immediately if you feel labor has begun or is imminent.
I will make
every attempt to arrive immediately if you feel labor is progressing
rapidly. If the
circumstances are
extenuating (rapid labor) or you do not call me for whatever reasons,
and I am
unable to make it to your birth, I will keep the retaining fee and no
further
charges will be incurred. If I am unable to attend your birth, I will
make
every attempt to provide a back up Doula.
If a back up Doula is provided, all fees and
obligations remain the
same. If I am
unable to provide a
back-up Doula, I will keep the retaining fee and no further charges
will be
incurred. Post partum support will continue to be provided.
